Actor Athiya Shetty kickstarted this year with delightful news as she got married to her boyfriend and Indian cricketer KL Rahul. The actor’s wedding happened on January 23 and was intimate yet beautiful. Nevertheless, we recently learned that just like other Bollywood brides, Athiya also added a special touch to her wedding trousseau and the significance of it is just beautiful.

Just recently, a celebrity stylist shared an Instagram post where she revealed that Athiya incorporated 7 vows of marriage in Sanskrit on her kaleere. It consists of the sun and little sunflowers embellished. She shared a note which read, “The saptapadi – the 7 vows of marriage taken around the fire as witness. So were Athiya’s kalire charms. The 7 vow’s engraved in Sanskrit on the sun and little sunflowers embellished on the kaliras made them so charming and special Kalire by @mrinalinichandra @athiyashetty.

Several other actors have also added their personalized touch to their wedding trousseau. Reportedly, Katrina Kaif’s kaleere contained words from Bible like Cleo, Elysian whereas Deepika Padukone added ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’ on her wedding veil. In fact, Patralekhaa incorporated a Bengali verse on her wedding veil. And many other brides have customised their wedding trousseau.

Right after her dreamy wedding, Athiya shared her first wedding pictures on her gram with a heartfelt note which read, “In your light, I learn how to love…” Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. After years of dating each other, Shetty and Rahul took the plunge to get married on 23rd January at the Khandala farmhouse with close people and family in attendance.
