Deepika Padukone on marrying Ranveer Singh: I did not want to be in a live-in relationship

Leggy beauty, Deepika Padukone got married to beau Ranveer Singh in a dreamy wedding that took place in Lake Como, Italy. Prior to her marriage, Deepika never spoke about her boyfriend Ranveer or any of her relationships for that matter. But now that she is officially Mrs Ranveer Singh, the ‘Piku’ actress in an interview to GQ, has poured her heart out about marrying the love of her life and what she is expecting from life post marriage.

Opening up about how the livewire actor Ranveer is in real life, Deepika said that her husband is very vulnerable, emotional and sometimes very childlike. “He’s a real people’s person, but there’s a quiet side to him too. Emotionally, I think I’m the more intuitive one. I’d say IQ is more him. But at the same time, he’s not all like, “I’m a man, I can’t show my emotions.” He’s sensitive, and so am I, and it makes it easier to share a life with someone who understands that,” she shared.

When questioned about changes she is expecting in her life post marriage, Deepika replied that since she has been running a home since she was 18-years-old, she doesn’t think much is going to change. But she was quick to add, “But of course, we’ll go through all the changes that happen when two people start living together.”

Deepika even spoke about how she was always clear about marrying him rather than being in a live-in relationship. “I was clear right from the start that I didn’t want to have a live-in relationship to figure out if I wanted to marry someone or not. Now I’m expecting everything that comes with being a newly-wed: sharing space, you know, or the bills, whatever it takes for two people to live a life together,” said the actress.

Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding was almost like a fairy tale and the pictures that they shared on social media created quite a buzz.

Post marriage, Ranveer has resumed work, whereas Deepika will start working for her upcoming film in the next year.
