The alleged chats, which appeared online shortly after director Buchi Babu Sana issued an apology over criticism of the film’s portrayal of women, suggest that Janhvi may have voiced concerns about certain scenes during filming. To clarify, ‘Peddi’ faced intense backlash after its release for objectifying Janhvi’s character.

According to these leaked chats, Janhvi had opposed specific camera angles, with Ram Charan reportedly backing her and objecting to the angles being used. The screenshots, which gained widespread attention across social media. They seem to show Janhvi objecting to particular camera shots used during scenes involving her character, Achiyyamma. One of the most discussed messages, allegedly sent on October 30, reads, “I told him no b**b and waist shots (sic).”

Ram Charan Supports Janhvi

A second message, which also drew significant focus, claims that Ram Charan supported her objections. The screenshots suggest Janhvi wrote, “And Ram sir is so sweet. He also yelled at him and said, ‘You will not take such angles of her ever again.’ So he got upset (sic).” This purported exchange hints that concerns over how her character was visually treated might have been raised during production, with the messages apparently referencing discussions involving director Buchi Babu Sana.

In a separate exchange, Janhvi is alleged to have mentioned that such issues are common in the industry. The leaked material shows her stating, “It keeps happening in the south.” The discussion also included comparisons to the criticism faced by Kiara Advani’s portrayal in ‘Game Changer.’ Responding to this, Janhvi allegedly said, “No, in this, what they were taking was worse. But Ram sir said no way, stop (sic).”

She suggested that if her father, producer Boney Kapoor, intervened, the situation could escalate to “extreme.”

Among the messages circulating, one emotional note appears to capture Janhvi’s exhaustion, allegedly stating, “No more film. We are done.” These leaks have added another dimension to the ongoing debate about Peddi.
