Kabir Bedi to play Hrithik Roshan’s nemesis

Filmmaker Ashutosh  Gowariker’s most ambitious project Mohenjo Daro has Bollywood’s Greek God Hrithik Roshan playing the role of the protagonist in it. Now Gowariker has roped in veteran actor Kabir Bedi to play the role of Hrithik’s nemesis in the film.

Sources revealed that, “Ashutosh was really keen on Kabir but worried that his international commitments would come in the way. However, Kabir is  confirmed and has allotted dates for the film.”

A quite pleased  Ashutosh confirmed the news and  revealed that  “Kabir Bedi has been on my wish list for long. I still remember his towering performance in Tughlaq and his quiet simmering presence in Octopussy, as well as his works in  many Italian and Hollywood movies.  His towering presence and richly resonant voice will infuse  the antagonist with charisma, I can’t ask for more!”

An equally  enthusiastic Kabir said,”It is exciting to be playing one of the most important roles in Mohenjo Daro, an epic set in the world’s oldest settlement. I’ve known Ashutosh from my Los Angeles days – we go back a long way. The film has a terrific hero in Hrithik which in turn makes my role as the film’s chief villain very powerful and thrilling.”

The movie Mohenjo Daro is all set to go on floors soon in Bhuj. An elaborate set resembling the Indus Valley Civilization has been erected there.  There will also be elaborate combat sequences between Hrithik and  Kabir Bedi in the movie.
