He shared a picture from the celebration, capturing himself cutting the cake. You’ve made our lives richer through your stories, and I respect how you continue to graciously acknowledge others’ work. Thank you.”

Varma’s birthday cake featured motifs from his iconic films. He has expressed immense admiration for Dhurandhar and even called Aditya Dhar his new “guru.” Varma advised aspiring filmmakers, saying, “Leave your institutes and spend that money and time in #Dhurandhar2 theatres.” He praised Dhar’s filmmaking style, noting that Dhar “weaponised cinema” by blending raw visceral intensity with surgical precision.
