Nana Patekar is one of the popular actors in Bollywood. He keeps making headlines for multiple reasons. The actor is currently shooting for his upcoming film Journey, directed by Anil Sharma. Speaking of that, a video of him slapping a fan on the sets of his upcoming film recently went viral on social media. The viral video shows Nana Patekar losing his calm after a young boy asks him for a selfie during the film’s shoot.

In the video, Nana is dressed in a brown blazer and a hat. The actor is shooting for the film in a crowded street. When a young boy comes from behind and starts taking a selfie with him, Nana Patekar smacks him at the back of his head. The actor looks visibly angry. The person standing next to Nana then grabs the boy by his neck and takes him away. The actor has been facing the wrath of netizens for his action towards the young boy in the viral video.

Anil Sharma reveals the truth behind Nana’s slap video

Did Nana really slap his fan? Well, Anil Sharma, who is directing Journey, has now revealed the truth behind the viral video. Speaking with Aaj Tak, Anil Sharma has revealed that the slap was actually a shot from Journey. The filmmaker said, “I have just come to know about this news. I was watching the same video just now. Nana has not hit anyone rather that is a shot from my film. We were filming it on the road in the middle of Banaras, where a boy who comes near Nana has to be hit on the head. Shooting was going on and Nana also hit him.”

He further added, “But the crowd gathered there recorded it on their mobile cameras and then leaked the shot of the film. Now, Nana is being projected as a negative and rude actor on social media, which is completely wrong.” Anil again mentioned that Nana has not hit anyone.

Apart from Nana, Journey also stars Utkarsh Sharma. Nana was last seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War. On the work front, Anil’s last directorial Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel did exceptionally well at the box office. Fans are now excited for his next film i.e. Journey starring Nana in the lead role.
