Actor Ranveer Singh recently took to his Instagram account and dropped a heartfelt throwback video of himself with late music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri. The video is from an award function where Ranveer gives a tribute to the OG Disco King on stage. He even performs on some of his songs during the award function. Sharing those memorable moments with Bappi Da, Ranveer mentions that never has been and never will be anyone like him while thanking him for the music he has given in his lifetime.

Apart from the throwback video, the Gully Boy actor even shares a couple of pictures with the Disco King and captioned it with, “Thank you for the music Thank you for the memories. There never has been & never will be anyone like you #BappiDa lives forever” After he shared the post on his gram, fans became emotional and nostalgic seeing the moment again.

Interestingly, once Bappi Da had shared that he was approached for a movie based on his life and revealed that he was approached for a biopic. While talking about whom he would like to see playing his younger version, the late singer had named Ranveer Singh and we are absolutely certain that Ranveer can justify the role.

Meanwhile, Bappi Lahiri departed for the heavenly abode on Tuesday at the age of 69. He reportedly breathed his last due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea. The last rites took place in the Vile Parle crematorium on Thursday morning after his son Bappa Lahiri arrived from Los Angeles.

After the tragic demise of Bappi Da, Lahiri’s family had issued a statement after the singer passed away, “It’s a deeply sad moment for us Our beloved Bappi Da has left for heavenly abode last midnight. The cremation will take on arrival of Bappa From LA tomorrow mid morning, We are seeking love and blessings for his soul. We will keep you updated.
