Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend, assistant director Rishikesh Pawar detained by NCB

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) who has been investigating the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case has detained his friend and assistant director Rishikesh Pawar, for questioning as per a report in ANI.

Rishikesh was absconding since January 7 and the drug probe agency was in search for him. Recently, ANI tweeted that the Narcotics Control Bureau summoned him to appear before the agency.

Mumbai: Narcotics Control Bureau is conducting a search for Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend, assistant director Rishikesh Pawar who has been absconding since yesterday. He was summoned to appear before the agency, in connection with a drugs case.

Sushant Singh Rajput died by committing suicide on June 14 last year at his Bandra residence. His death case has been investigated by three agencies-the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED). During the NCB probe, many well-known Bollywood celebrities, including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Arjun Rampal among others were summoned by NCB for questioning. Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik were arrested by the NCB and later released on bail.

Earlier, the death case was investigated by the Mumbai Police. But as Sushant’s family and well-wishers demanded a CBI enquiry, the Supreme Court ordered for a CBI probe into the case.
