Vicky seems so comfortable and in his zone in the fun character of Bhajan. The actor got to show his comic side in Govinda Naam Mera last year, and with TGIF, he gets that chance again. The trailer has Vicky going through a roller coaster of emotions and he portrays each of them convincingly. From the street smart small town boy to a lovelorn aashiq and a man shunned by his own family, he does it all amazingly.

As for his leading lady Manushi, the actress’ character isn’t revealed much in the trailer. Although her look is contrastingly different from the period look in her debut film Samrat Prithviraj. How she fits into the story will be something to watch out for. The family dynamics will play the biggest role in the film. While the ensemble cast boasts impressive names, how it turns out on screen, remains to be seen.

Along with Vicky and Manushi, the film also stars Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit and Bhuvan Arora. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Yash Raj Films, TGIF will release on September 22, 2023.
