The Kashmir Files is currently riding high on positive reviews from the critics and the audience. The movie has managed to make a decent collection at the box office as well. The film features Anupam Kher, who is receiving praise for his performance in the movie. The movie also got appreciated by the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Kashmir Files team was lauded by PM Narendra Modi for the movie. The team of the movie also met with the PM.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share details about the meeting. He revealed that the producers of the movie, Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi along with director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri had a meeting with the Prime Minister.

Sharing details about the meeting, the trade analyst tweeted, “‘THE KASHMIR FILES’ TEAM MEETS PM MODI… #TheKashmirFiles producers #AbhishekAgarwal, #PallaviJoshi and #VivekRanjanAgnihotri [who has directed the film] met Hon. Prime Minister Shri #NarendraModi ji… The Prime Minister appreciated the team as well as the film (sic).”

Talking about the movie, the plot revolves around the brutally honest story of the Kashmir Genocide. The film highlights the happenings from 1990 where Kashmiri Pandits were persecuted, forced out of their homeland and murdered. The Kashmir Files got a bumper opening at the box office. The film opened with a collection of Rs 3.55 crore on the first day of the release. The movie features Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Bhasha Sumbali and Chinmay Mandlekar, apart from Kher.
