Akshay Kumar and John Abraham starrer Desi Boyz released in 2011. It was directed by Rohit Dhawan and also starred Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh. As per reports, Desi Boyz 2 is in the making. However, Varun Dhawan and Tiger Shroff are said to be in talks to replace Akshay and John in the second part.

Varun Dhawan and Tiger Shroff in Desi Boyz 2?

Hindustan Times quoted a source saying, “Desi Boyz 2 actors are still getting finalised, and they will be locked once the scripting is done completely. But yes, it’s true that the OGs Akshay and Tiger won’t be coming again in part two. There are in talks about approaching Varun and Tiger for the lead roles. The story of the part two will be completely different with two new actors, just the title remains the same.” The report further stated that Ananya Panday might play Varun’s romantic interest.

Varun and Tiger’s upcoming movies

Varun was last seen in Bawaal opposite Janhvi Kapoor. The actor will be next seen in Raj and DK’s Citadel India. He will be seen sharing screen space with Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the same. This is the first time Varun and Samantha are coming onscreen together. Recently, the actors shared photos with team Citadel India.

On the other hand, Tiger will be seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also stars Akshay Kumar. The movie is slated to release during Eid this year. Apart from this, Tiger will be joining Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. The actor will be playing the role of ACP Satya in Singham Again. The makers shared the first look poster of Tiger as ACP Satya last year.

Talking about Akshay, he has Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru, and Welcome To The Jungle. On the other hand, John will be seen in Tehran.
