Vicky Kaushal recalls a scene that got him stitches under his eye as Manmarziyaan completes 4 years

Anurag Kashyap directorial Manmarziyaan has completed 4 years today. The romantic drama starred Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan. Taapsee played Rumi Bagga while Vicky played Vicky Sandhu aka DJ Sandzz. The film might not have worked at the box office but it was very much raved for the performances, its take on modern day relationships, screenplay, direction etc. Also, the orginal music album struck a chord with the music lovers.

As the movie clocked 4 years on September 14, the Sardar Udham actor penned a note remembering how he got stitches for one of the scenes. He shared a BTS pic from the set of Manmarziyaan.

Sharing the pic, Vicky wrote, “#4yearsofManmarziyaan. “Aashiqon ki jaan lega tu!”… scene that cost me a few stitches under the eye. Such a liberating experience to play Vicky Sandhu! Grateful for a memorable journey together(sic)”.

Manmarziyaan was produced by Aanand L Rai, and released in 2018. The movie also premiered at Toronto International Film Festival as Husband Material.

Vicky had earlier revealed that he got injured while filming a scene in Manmarziyaan. A Twitter user had asked him if he actually got hit by a saucepan during a scene and continued to shoot without stopping. He then wrote back, “I didn’t realise it while doing the scene, but glad that Anurag Kashyap (the film’s director) didn’t say cut.”

Vicky who is married to Katrina Kaif has collaborated with his wife for an ad. Some pictures of both have gone viral that have made fans excited. Katrina and Vicky tied the knot last year in December in an intimate wedding ceremony.

On the work front, Vicky will be seen in Meghana Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur. He also has Shashank Khaitan’s comedy film, Govinda Naam Mera, and Laxman Utekar’s untitled next with Sara Ali Khan.
