‘Thappad’ Box-Office Report: Taapsee Pannu’s social drama mints THIS much in first weekend

Taapsee Pannu is one of the most sought after actress in Bollywood right now. She has wowed the audience with her acting prowess and also with the kind of films she is associating herself with, cinephiles are more than happy. The actress’ latest social drama ‘Thappad’ has been loved by the critics and audience alike and it managed to mint around Rs. Rs 14.66 crores in its first weekend.

Upon its release, ‘Thappad’ garnered positive reviews for the way it has handled the subject of patriarchy and casual sexism in such a nuanced and effective way. Taapsee and Anubhav have given us a gem of a film. In its first weekend, the film has earned around  Rs. 14.66 crores.
