Anubhav Sinha’s ASSI, starring Taapsee Pannu and backed by T-Series and Benaras Media Works, has completed its first week on a healthy note at the box office, collecting Rs 7.23 CR NBOC in Week 1, taking its total worldwide collection to Rs 11.12 CR GBOC.

As ASSI holds up a mirror to everyday headlines that numbly pass by, many viewers have echoed the sentiment that the film makes you uncomfortable with its tough questions, but is not half as disturbing as daily news.
