Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan remains a box office sensation, maintaining its top spot and shattering records even in its second week. After a phenomenal first-week collection, the film continues to have a historic run even during the second week. Talking about its second weekend collection, it earned an impressive Rs 82.46 crores in Hindi. When factoring in all languages, the film’s total stands at a remarkable Rs 88.66 crores.
Jawan becomes the fastest film to enter 400 crore club
Within a mere 11 days, the action entertainer has amassed a staggering 430.44 crore in the Hindi language alone. When considering all languages, the film boasts a formidable India net collection of 479.99 crore. The massy actioner has entered the Rs 400 crore club in just 11 days and emerged as the fastest film to achieve this feat. It has trumped Pathaan (12 days), Gadar 2 (12 days), Baahubali 2 – Hindi (15 days) and KGF 2 – Hindi (23 days) with this collection. What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that “Jawan” has not only broken records in its home market but has also made waves in international markets.
The action entertainer directed by Atlee, was released on September 7. It stars Shah Rukh Khan in a double role with Nayanthara playing the female lead and Vijay Sethupathi cast as the antagonist. Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt make memorable special appearances and key roles are played by Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Lehar Khan, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Sunil Grover, and Ridhi Dogra.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the actor will next be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki which will release on 22 September 2023. Looking at the director’s remarkable track record, Dunki is expected to surpass even Jawan’s record.
