EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, Suniel Shetty’s Musical Romantic Drama Dhadkan To Re-Release In Theaters On THIS Date

Dhadkan was a major success when it first hit the screens. Directed by Dharmesh Darshan, the film tells the story of love, heartbreak, and emotional choices. Shilpa Shetty played Anjali, a woman torn between her love for Dev (Suniel Shetty) and her loyalty to her husband, Ram (Akshay Kumar). Dhadkan To Re-Release In Theaters On May 23rd

According to Bollywood Bubble sources, “The 2000 hit romantic drama Dhadkan, starring Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, Suniel Shetty and Mahima Chaudhry is all set to re-release in cinemas on 23rd May 2025. The film was released over two decades ago and is returning to theatres as part of a special screening initiative to celebrate iconic Bollywood films. The musical romantic drama will be released in select theatres across India in a digitally remastered format, offering better picture and sound quality.”

One of the biggest highlights of the film was its soundtrack, with timeless songs like Dil Ne Yeh Kaha Hai Dil Se, Tum Dil Ki Dhadkan Mein, and Na Na Karte. The music, composed by Nadeem-Shravan, continues to be loved even today.

The re-release of Dhadkan is expected to attract both older fans and a younger generation who may not have seen it on the big screen. It is being seen as a nostalgic celebration of early 2000s Bollywood.
