EXCLUSIVE: Avinash Gowariker Recalls How He Turned Down Magazine Offers Who Asked To Leak Salman Khan Photos; Says, “Wasn’t Going To Betray…”

Avinash Gowariker is a renowned photographer celebrated for his work in celebrity and advertising photography, particularly within the Bollywood industry. He started his career as an assistant director and has worked with Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone and others. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Avinash Gowariker reveals why Salman Khan always liked working with him more than other photographers.

Avinash Gowariker Admits NOT Shooting Nudes, Lingerie Or Bikini Shoots

When asked if there are certain shoots he refrained from doing, Avinash Gowariker said, “I’ve never done n*des shoots. I have never done bikini or lingerie shoots in my life; that was a conscious decision. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, and if you ask me why, I honestly don’t know. And, I just never felt comfortable with certain things, so I didn’t do them. There’s nothing right or wrong about any of it, but that was my personal choice. One thing I’ve always been clear about is that I never let down my clients or the actors I work with.”

Avinash Gowariker On Why Salman Khan Wanted To Work With Him

Avinash shares why Salman Khan has blind faith and trust in him, “For example, one of the reasons Salman Khan liked working with me is because, at the time I entered his life, he was staying away from the press. It was a tough period for him. Many photographers would shoot with him and then leak those pictures to magazines, even after he specifically asked them not to. He hated that. But I never did it. When Salman told me not to give pictures to the press, I didn’t.”

He concluded, “Back then, I was struggling, and many magazines offered me a lot of money for those photos. Money that would have made a big difference to my life, but I refused. If Salman put his trust in me and said not to share them, I wasn’t going to betray that trust. I’ve never misused my position. I believe your relationships and your friendships should be built on honesty. And that honesty must also exist in your profession. I’ve always stayed honest to mine, and I’ve never taken advantage of it.”
