EXCLUSIVE: Bhumi Pednekkar, Aditya Rawal, Samara Tijori Call Daldal Their ‘Biggest Test’ Yet; Lead Actress Says, “Woh Protagonist Hai Lekin…”

After her last film, Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Bhumi Satish Pednekar returns to the spotlight with her latest series Daldal. Stepping into the role of DCP Rita Ferreira, she delivers a powerful performance that stands out as one of the show’s highlights, alongside Aditya Rawal and Samara Tijori, who add depth and intensity to the thriller. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the cast spoke candidly about the challenges they encountered and the emotional hurdles they navigated while shooting for the series. Daldal Cast On The Challenges They Faced During The Shoot

When asked about the significance of their characters to them and the challenges they experienced while portraying them, Aditya Rawal, who plays a drug addict in the series, said, “Mere liye personally kahun toh yeh sabse kathin kirdaar raha hai joh bhi maine kiya hai ab tak. I think voh character ko samajhna pehle joh ek addict hai, uski dimagi halat ko grasp kar paana wahi pehla bada challenge tha. But I think with a director like Amrit Shorana, like Suresh sir, process aasan toh nahi kahunga, but sunehra raha aur bada hi maza aaya.”

Responding to the same question, Samara Tijori, the antagonist, said, “Joh character maine play kiya hai, it was challenging for sure. And, I am, as you can see in the trailer, I am pitted against this lady (Bhumi Satish Pednekker) here. Aur woh mere liye, main bohot excited thi to do this part because I have seen her work and I look upto her and I said ‘oh my god. I have to beat.’ So mere liye obviously bohot hi challenging tha joh maine character play kiya hai, but bohot exciting bhi tha aur nervous toh hai, but trailer ke responses bohot acche hai toh we are a bit excited.”

Talking about the challenges, Bhumi Satish Pednekkar, the protagonist of the series, said, “I think yeh show hi aisa likha gaya hai ki joh bhi is show se juda hua hai un sabke liye bohot bada challenge hai. I think humein challenge karne ke liye hi likha gaya hai yeh show. Sabka ek test hai yeh show. But ek bohot hi satisfying journey bhi rahi hai, and I think aap jab in dono (Samara and Aditya) ka bhi kaam dekhoge, you will be amazed at the fact ki humari fraternity ko itne badhiya actors mile hai, and I think hum ek doosre se bohot inspire huye, motivate huye. Mere liye thoda alag kirdaar raha hai joh maine abhi tak kiya usme se sabka. Woh protagonist hai lekin tab bhi usme bohot darkness hai, pagalpan hai, ek quality hai usme joh logo ko na kheench leti hai in a very dark way. Toh i think, ek newness thi isme joh sabse exciting baat hai daldal ki.”
