EXCLUSIVE: Rukhsar Rehman Recalls Daughter Ayesha’s Support During Divorce From Faruk Kabir; Says, “If She Hadn’t Been Around Me…”

Rukhsar Rehman has a daughter named Ayesha Ahmed from her first marriage. The actress remarried filmmaker Faruk Kabir in 2010. However, they couple filed for a divorce in 2023. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rukhsar Rehman reflected on her daughter Ayesha Ahmed’s support post her divorce from Faruk. She calls her an amazing girl and reveals she is grateful for that Ayesha is her child.

Rukhsar On Dealing With Her Divorce

When asked about how she dealt with her divorce, Rukshar Rehman said, “They say every change teaches you something. And the other thing is, sometimes you don’t even realise that a change has happened. But then, slowly-slowly, people who love you and who are close to you, so haan, matlab, zindagi mein dekho, abhi badlav toh aate hain. Phir uske saath, changes ke saath experiences, acche-bure experiences, aate hain, na? Chalte rehte hain, aate rehte hain, chalte rehte hain. Aap kahin par thode samajhdar ho jaate ho, kahin par aapko lagta hai ke, theek hai, yeh chapter apni zindagi se abhi. It’s gone, done and dusted. And now you should take God’s name and move forward.”

Speaking about what gave her the courage to move forward, she continued, “I feel that there is no other way, ya there is a way of, you should just give it all up. And just be like, ‘Abhi mujhe kuch nahi karna hai.’ Woh tha mera ek period bhi. But then, thankfully, my daughter, her friends and two or three of my own friends helped me come out of it.”

Rukhsar Rehman On Her Bond With Daughter Ayesha

Rukhsar opened up on her bond with daughter Aisha, saying it’s not just a mother-daughter duo but one of friendship. The actress said, “I won’t use the word proud, but I will say that maybe I’m very, like, glad and thankful ke I have got Ayesha as a daughter. She is an amazing girl. Matlab, beti toh woh itni acchi hai ke, I mean, sabko apna baccha accha lagta hai dil se. But she is amazing. She is Masha Allah (touchwood), an amazing girl, and I don’t know if she hadn’t been around me, what would have happened. But she helped me a lot, and uske doston ne bhi bahut, bahut; they were like my family. They are still like my family.”

Rukhsar’s Personal Life

Rukhsar ran away and got married at 19. She has a daughter, Ayesha Ahmed from her first marriage. The actress separated and got married to Faruk Kabir in 2010. However, they filed for a divorce in 2023.
