The actress attended the prestigious film festival for the premiere screening of her upcoming Dharma film Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and starring Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa.

Janhvi’s first outing of the 78th edition of Cannes Film Festival was at the exclusive lunch at Hôtel Belles Rives in Antibes. To the lunch – celebrating Catherine Martin’s special project for Miu Miu Upcycled, the actress wore a checkered green/blue crop shirt and a grey checkered shacket over a matching white textured cropped tank and a mini skirt set. She completed the look with black slingback heels, white calf-length socks, sunglasses and a tan handbag. A black band (that looks like a hair tie) and gold cocktail rings completed her carefree but stylish look.

For her Cannes red carpet debut, Janhvi Kapoor made heads turn as strutted the iconic stairs and posed by the sea in a a custom Tarun Tahiliani handwoven real tissue skirt and corset. The structured, soft pink saree – specially crafted in Banaras, was a tribute to her mother, Sridevi. The actress completed her look with Chopard pearl and diamond accessorised and minimal makeup to give the look an elegant touch.

For the 0fficial premiere screening of her upcoming Dharma film, Homebound, Janhvi Kapoor looked like a vision out of a fairytale in a custom Anamika Khanna couture creation. In the enchanting backless gown – featuring a gold embroidered bodice and a turquoise green silk skirt with a long train, Janhvi ate and left no crumbs. She accessorised the look with a mix of archival traditional Indian jewels – including jhumkas, ear cuffs, bangles, kadas, rings, and a back chain with custom jade and jadao creations. PS: The film received a 9-minute-long standing ovation.

Janhvi Kapoor brought Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn to live at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in a Christian Dior 1957 haute black slub silk couture dress. Styled by Rhea, Janhvi served old Hollywood glamour thanks to the ensemble’s figure-sculpting silhouette paired with a plunging neck, midi hem length and Opera-style black gloves. She styled her look with diamond earrings and a diamond brooch anchored by a 10-carat pear. She ate, and left no crumbs.

Janhvi Kapoor made sure her maiden trip to the French Riviera was a tribute to her mom Sridevi. After paying homage to her with her red carpet debut look, the actress wore a dripping white saree crafted by Di Petsa in their signature wet glamour look – an ode to Sridevi in the rain in Chandni. The ensemble – styled by Rhea Kapoor, was the mix of sensualism, ethnic tribute, and romanticism. Accessorised with Chopard jewels – glittering sapphire and emerald necklace, earrings, anonymous fashion page Diet Sabya stated, “It’s giving 80s rain-soaked siren meets postmodern femme fatale.”
