Alia Bhatt is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie titled Darlings. The actor also makes her production debut with Darlings that is co-produced under her banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions. Darlings, scheduled to release on August 5, on streaming platform Netflix is directed by Jasmeet K Reen and produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt and Gaurav Verma.

The film Darlings features Alia, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, Roshan Matthew amongst others. The movie was made on an estimated budget of 20-25 crores.

Alia Bhatt

Alia, who makes her production debut with Darlings also plays the key role in the film. She plays the role of Badru in the movie. The actress reportedly got paid a whopping 15 crores for a role in the movie.

Shefali Shah

Shefali Shah plays the role of Alia’s mother in the movie. She essays the character of Badru’s mother and was paid Rs 1 crore for a role in the movie, as per reports.

Vijay Varma

Vijay Varma, who plays the role of Hamza, a ticket collector in the movie and Alia (Badru’s husband) was reportedly paid an estimated amount of Rs 85 lakhs.

Roshan Matthew 

Roshan Matthew also plays a key role in the film. He was paid a whopping Rs 40 lakhs for his character in the movie, according to the reports.

The role played by actor Rajesh Sharma is rather unknown, but he was reportedly paid an estimated Rs 30 lakhs as fees, for his role in the movie.

Darlings is a black comedy-drama movie that revolves around the lives of a quirky mother-daughter duo who finds courage and love, while trying to find place in the world. The trailer of Darlings was released by the makers recently and gives a glimpse into the movie.
