On Tuesday, one of the prolific music composers and singers Bappi Lahiri departed for his heavenly abode. Reportedly, the veteran singer passed away at Mumbai’s CritiCare Hospital due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea. As fans and celebs are mourning his demise, we went back to his Instagram profile and saw some Bappi Lahiri throwback pics with Amitabh Bachchan, the late Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar which are not only priceless but it will also make you miss the veteran star.

He has shared plenty of monochrome pictures on his photo-sharing app which needs to be treasured for sure. Having said that, take a look back at some Bappi Lahiri throwback pics from the recording studios or events which are precious.

Did you know Bappi Lahiri and legendary singer Kishore Kumar are related? Well, Kishore Da was Lahiri’s maternal uncle. The two have worked together in several movies and have delivered several hits including Inteha Ho Gayi Intezaar Ki, Aaj Rapat Jaayen To, Thodi Si Jo Pee Lee Hai and many more.

Earlier, Bappi Da had shared a photo with his uncle Kishore Da and captioned it, “#Throwback to the old memories with one of the legend and my mama Kishore kumar”

Back in 2019, Bappi Da had shared a rare photo with Kishore Kumar, lyricist Anjaan and director Prakash Mehra, captioning, “#memories to one of the hit movie SHARAABI : released 35 years ago on 18 May 1984.”

This picture needs to be framed forever. Sharing a photo with Kishore Da and Lata Mangeshkar, he wrote, “Working with these two legends has always been memorable”.

In an old interview, the Disco Dancer composer recalled how Lata Mangeshkar visited their home when he was just a kid and ‘supported’ him in the years that followed.

Bappi had said to TOI about Lata Mangeshkar, “I was 4 when in the Eden Garden locality of Kolkata where we lived, Lataji came home and blessed me. I still have a picture of me sitting in her lap. She sang many Bangla songs for my father (Aparesh Lahiri) who was a well-known composer in Kolkata. From then on she has supported me. She sang my first composition in a Bengali film Daadu. If she hadn’t sung for me, I’d have been swept away by the competition.”

Some memories just fill our hearts with warmth and love, well, this is that pic. Seeing Mohammad Rafi, Kishore Da and Bappi Da together in one frame is definitely dream come true. He had shared this photo and wrote, “In life nothing is impossible ! Had the honor of recording a song with the legends #mohdrafi and #kishorekumar #1975”

This young photo of Bappi Lahiri is just heartwarming. Now, that’s a photo to be remembered forever.

You can literally hear the picture it seems. Seeing Amitabh Bachchan and Bappi Da together jamming at the recording studio is everything that we need to see today.

The time when he celebrated with veteran star Amrish Puri and his wife.

Apart from making everyone groove with his songs, the late veteran singer-composer had also made his mark as an actor in a 1974 film Badhti Ka Naam Dadhi. Sharing a candid picture in 2021, Bappi Lahiri had shared a still from his debut Bollywood film that also featured Kishore Kumar. He wrote, “A Film that I debuted as an actor.. Directed and Produced by #kishorekumar along with Amit Kumar !! Name the film.”

After Lata Ji passed away on February 6, Bappi Da had shared a rare picture on his gram with the legendary singer captioning, ‘Maa’.
