Today (October 1) marks Allu Arjun’s grandfather Allu Ramalingaiah’s 100th birth anniversary. On this special occasion, Allu Arjun and his brothers, Sirish and Bobby, inaugurated their grandfather’s statue at Allu Studios in Hyderabad. The Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo actor took to his social media to share some pictures with his brother and his grandfather Ramalingaiah’s statue from event.

Allu Arjun and Allu Sirish were in white shirts and black pants while Allu Bobby was in white kurta pyjama set. Sharing the photos from the occasion, the Pushpa actor wrote, “Unveiled the statue of my grandfather Padmashri #AlluRamalingaiah garu in ALLU Studios on his birth anniversary today along with #AlluBobby & @AlluSirish. He was our pride and will continue to be a part of our journey at Allu studios (sic).”

For the unversed, Allu Ramalingaiah was a legendary comedian in the Telugu film industry. He began his career in Tollywood with Puttillu in 1953.He had appeared in over 1000 films as a comedian and a character actor. Allu Ramalingaiah was awarded the Padma Shri in 1990 and Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in 2001.

Coming back to Allu Arjun, he is currently grabbing the headliens for his upcoming film, Pushpa. Directed by Sukumar, the film is based on the lives of red sandalwood smugglers in the Seshachalam forest in Andhra Pradesh.The movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles. The film will release in two parts. The first part is titled Pushpa-The Rise.
