Martin Prakkat, who directed the Malayalam film Nayattu, reportedly disclosed that Hindi rights of the movie are acquired by none other than John Abraham while Telugu rights are taken up by Stylish Star Allu Arjun under the banner Geetha Arts. This will be John’s second Malayalam film’s rights that he got under his banner JA Entertainment. The first one was Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Apparently, the Tamil remake will be directed by Gautam Vasudev Menon, however, no official announcements have been made.

For the unversed, the Malayalam drama which was released this year in April will be remade in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

The original thriller starred Kunchacko Boban, Joju George, and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles. The movie which means ‘hunt’ in English had a small run at the box office due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Later, the movie was released on the OTT platform Netflix. The movie received a good response from both masses and critics and is considered as one of the most successful Malayalam films. While the movie’s editing was done by Rajesh Rajendran, Shyju Khalid handled the cinematography. Vishnu Vijay composed the songs and P. M. Sasidharan and the director Martin Prakkat co-produced the film under their banner Gold Coin Motion Picture Company.

Talking about Allu Arjun, he has been hitting the headlines as his upcoming movie Pushpa-The Rise got a release date. The movie will release this December and will clash with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. On the other hand, John Abraham was last seen in Mumbai Saga where he starred alongside Emraan Hashmi. He will be seen next in Satyameva Jayate 2, Ek Villain Returns, and Pathan. In Pathan, he is playing the role of an antagonist and the movie also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.
