Telugu actor Mahesh Babu is one of the biggest actors in the Telugu film industry. Mahesh has a huge fan base all across the nation. He is not only popular for his films but also for his philanthropic works like charities promoting women’s rights and helping poor children. In his acting career of two decades, he has given many hits at the box-office. But did you know that in reality the actor cannot read or write in Telugu? Yes, you heard it right. Watching his films, it doesn’t look like he doesn’t know to write or read in Telugu. But this is the fact and it was revealed by none other than the actor himself.

Mahesh Babu made this revelation during the promotions of Srimanthudu in 2015. As reported by IndiaGlitz, Mahesh Babu revealed that as he grew up in Chennai, he didn’t learn to read and write Telugu. However, he is fluent in speaking and learns his dialogues by listening to his directors who narrate it to him.

Mahesh Babu was last seen in the action-comedy film Sarileru Neekevvaru. He has produced the upcoming Telugu film Major under his production house Ghattamaneni Mahesh Babu Entertainments. The movie is slated to release on July 2, 2021. On the work front, he will be seen in Sarkaru Vaari Paata that also has Keerthy Suresh.

Recently, his 7-day Covid-19 vaccination drive in Burripalem village in Andhra Pradesh successfully ended. For the unversed, Burripalem is Mahesh Babu’s native village, which he had adopted in 2015. On the occasion of his father’s birthday, the actor arranged Covid-19 vaccines for the villagers of Burripalem.
