Baadshaho-and-shubh-Mangal-saavdhan

This Friday we had two extremely different films clashing at the box office. One was high on action while the other one was on drama. Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz-starrer ‘Baadshaho’ clashed with Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’. Though both had a slow start at the box office, the films picked up over the weekend.

As per the statistics given by Box Office India, one week collection of ‘Baadshaho’ stands at Rs 54.25 crore net while ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’s collection was Rs 23.25 crore net. The films got an advantage of Eid and the numbers witnessed a jump. ‘Baadshaho’ is a story about a queen who has lots of gold that has to be smuggled outside the border, while ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ narrates the story of a couple about to get married but they discover that the man is suffering from erectile dysfunction. With very contrasting subjects, both the films have managed to do decent business at the box office.
