Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer RRR created a huge history by bringing the Oscars 2023 award to India as they bagged the Best Original Song Award for Naatu Naatu song. However, their entry at the Oscars did come for free but it cost them a hefty price. According to a report by The Economic Times, the RRR team had to pay a huge amount to attend the Oscars.

Reportedly, a single ticket to Oscar 2023 cost $25,000, which is around ₹20.6 Lakhs. According to the Academy Awards crew, It is said that only awardees and their family members are eligible for a free pass while the rest of them have to pay for the ticket to watch the show live. 

After winning the award, Alia Bhatt expressed her happiness. Apart from her, Ajay Devgn also shared his happiness for the same while also congratulating The Elephant Whispers for the big win at the Oscars. The Bholaa actor wrote, “As it is often said, cinema speaks a universal language. Congratulations to the teams of #RRR and #TheElephantWhisperers for their #Oscar    wins. It’s a proud moment” 

As RRR bagged Oscars, the official handle of the film shared a heartwarming tweet which read, “We’re blessed that #RRRMovie is the first feature film to bring INDIA’s first ever #Oscar in the Best Song Category with #NaatuNaatu! No words can describe this surreal moment. Dedicating this to all our amazing fans across the world. THANK YOU!! JAI HIND!

Other than paying a fee to the Oscars, fans earlier showed utmost displeasure when the RRR team was made to sit at the last row. They slammed the prestigious awards for the discrimination.

Meanwhile, RRR is one of the biggest blockbusters of 2022. The movie is headlined by Ram Charan and Jr NTR; however, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran had cameos in the movie.
