Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan is in the news again, this time for serious assault allegations. The Marco actor has been accused by his own manager of beating him up. The incident reportedly happened after the manager praised another actor, Tovino Thomas, and his new film Narivetta.
Unni Mukundan’s Manager Vipin Kumar Filed A Police Complaint
According to reports, the actor’s manager, Vipin Kumar, filed a police complaint at the Infopark Police Station in Kochi on the night of May 26. Vipin claimed that Unni Mukundan came to his flat in Kakkanad that morning and called him down to the parking area. There, the actor allegedly attacked him and used abusive language.
Vipin said the problem started when he posted a picture and praise for Narivetta, a film starring Tovino Thomas, on social media. He believes this made Unni angry. Vipin also claimed that since Marco, Mukundan hasn’t received any new film offers and might be taking out his frustration on others.
The police have now registered a case against Unni Mukundan and are checking the details of the complaint. They will verify both sides of the story before taking further action.
This is not the first time Unni Mukundan has faced legal trouble. In 2018, a woman had accused him of sexually harassing her during a meeting at his home in Edappally. She said he invited her under the pretext of discussing a film project. However, in 2023, the Kerala High Court dismissed that case after the woman told the court that the issue was settled outside court.
This latest case has once again brought the actor under public and media scrutiny. While fans are shocked, they are waiting for more updates from the police investigation. So far, Unni Mukundan has not publicly responded to the assault accusation. As the investigation continues, the truth behind the incident is yet to come out.
