Veteran Telugu actor Kaikala Satyanarayana passed away on Friday (December 23) morning. He breathed his last at his residence in Hyderabad. Kaikala was suffering from old-age related illness. He was 87. The actor worked in over 750 films in his career span of over five decades. Sathyanarayan played hero as well as, villain in his films. Several celebrities, specially from the Telugu film industry mourned his demise. Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu, Nani and Chiranjeevi among others mourned Satyanarayana’s death.

Ram Charan tweeted, “Deeply saddened to hear the demise of Kaikala Satyanarayana Garu.. His contribution to our film industry will be remembered forever! May his soul rest in peace (sic).”

Chiranjeevi wrote an eulogy in Telugu. Sharing the note, he tweeted, “Rest in peace Navarasa Natana Sarvabhouma. Sri Kaikala Satyanarayana garu (sic).”

The Godfather actor had visited his home in July to wish him on his birthday.

Mahesh Babu is also ‘extremely saddened by the passing away’ of Kaikala Satyanarayana garu. “I have some very fond memories of working with him. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace,” he tweeted.

Sathyanarayana is survived by his wife, two daughters and two sons.
