Singer Tony Kakkar has come forward to shower praises on the immensely talented Vipin Aneja, who recently collaborated with Yo Yo Honey Singh on the album Never Cried from 51 Glorious Days.

Tony Kakkar, Ankit Tiwari Hail Vipin Aneja For His Soulful Voice

Tony described Vipin’s voice as “deep, cinematic, and reminiscent of Jagjit Singh ji’s golden era.” He expressed how Vipin’s rich and soulful singing style brings a rare old-world charm that feels both timeless and refreshing. “Vipin bhai’s voice is deep, cinematic, and takes you straight back to Jagjit Singh ji’s era. He’s immensely talented yet so underused, and I truly feel he deserves much more work and recognition. His collaboration with Yo Yo Honey Singh is a real treat for me, as I’ve been a huge admirer of both for a very long time,” Tony said.

On the other hand singer, Ankit Tiwari was also seen Healing praises for him. He said, “This track is proof that music is truly without boundaries. Ghazal, often seen as niche or traditional, suddenly feels accessible to a younger audience because of the rap sections. At the same time, rap — which can sometimes feel too aggressive — gains depth and dignity when set against the backdrop of ghazal. The contrast is what makes it powerful, and the collaboration doesn’t just bridge genres, it bridges generations. This is the kind of experiment that has the potential to change how we define ‘popular music’ in India.”

51 glorious days, Never cried is a collaboration between Vippin Aneja and Honey Singh which infuses Ghazal with rap for the first time in the history of Indian music.
