A few days ago, director Vivek Agnihotri had slammed Kapil Sharma on social media. The director had alleged that the Kashmir Files team was not invited to The Kapil Sharma Show. He added the movie was not promoted on the show as it did not have a commercial star. Soon, people started calling for a boycott of the popular Show. Now Anupam Kher has spoken about The Kashmir Files team not getting invited to the show.

In an interview with a news channel, Anupam Kher clarified that he was called on comedian Kapil Sharma’s show but he chose to not go since the film is on a serious issue.

Anupam Kher told Times Now, “Ye film bari serious hai, I do not want to be a part of the show. But I have to say, Kapil does not have any malice towards us or towards the film.”

Soon after Kher cleared the air, Kapil Sharma thanked The Kashmir Files actor for debunking the allegations against him. He took to Instagram and shared the section of Kher’s interview. Kapil wrote, “Thank you paji @anupampkher for clarifying all the false allegations against me (sic).”

Earlier a fan had asked Kapil why he was not promoting Kashmir Files on his show. The actor had urged people not to believe one-sided stories.

The Kashmir Files is, based on the tale of the Kashmiri Pandits’ exodus from Kashmir. It has seen a phenomenal jump at the box office. It has managed to rake in Rs 27.15 crore on its third day since its release.
