Saif Ali Khan will be seen in web series ‘Tandav’ that is based on Indian politics. Saif said that it is based on the lines of American political thriller ‘House Of Cards’. As reported by PTI, Saif said in a statement, “I don’t want to use American examples, but it’s along the lines of ‘House Of Cards’, although set within the framework of Indian politics. The plot takes into account various factions like Dalit politics and UP cops and the whole nexus between them.”

Saif will be in the role of a politician in the web series. Talking about his character, Saif said, “My character is Chanakya-like, in the guise of a youth leader who comes from a privileged background and aspires to become the prime minister.” The show will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

Talking about ‘House of Cards’, it had Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright in the lead roles.

Saif was last seen in Netflix ‘Sacred Games 2’ and he was raved for his stellar performance like the first season. He is currently gearing for his upcoming release ‘Laal Kaptaan’ where he is playing the character Naga Sadhu. The trailer of the movie was released in three chapters and we see Saif in a never-seen-before avatar. It is a revenge drama where Saif seems to give terrific performance yet again. Directed by Navdeep Singh, the movie also features Sonakshi Sinha, Manav Vij, Zoya Hussain, and Deepak Dobriyal among others. It is set to release on October 18, 2019.

Saif will also be seen in ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ and ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ with Ajay Devgn.
