After Spectre, film Angry Indian Goddesses at Censor Board's target

Even though the film got a lot of appreciation at various international film festivals, the movie is facing some issues in getting clearance from the Censor Board in India. It is said that the Censor Board has a problem with a song titled ‘Dil Dola Re’ from this film. The song supposedly has lyrics with double meaning and Censor Board is not ready to give clearance to this song considering that it would not be appropriate for the Television audience. The pause between  the words ‘Dil Do’ emphasizes this double meaning and it could lead to misinterpretation of the song. A source confirms this news and says, “Yes, the song was not cleared to be aired on TV given its lyrics. The track is nothing, but a woman expressing her joy using quirky lyrics and has, in fact, become popular on the Internet.”

Well, It seems that  Censor Board is in no mood to spare anyone from their stringent standards. Recently, Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani was criticized for cutting down a kissing scene from 30 seconds to 8 seconds. He received a lot of flak from celebrities as well as from the audience for his decision and now this!

The movie ‘Angry Indian Goddesses’ is set to hit the theatres on December 4, 2015.
