Brahmastra received one of the largest worldwide release for an Indian film on September 9 as it opened in over 8000 screens. The film has grossed over 160 crore in its first two days at the global box office. Bollywood Bubble gave the film 4 stars in its review, and a part of it read, “If I have to give a one-word review to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer, then it has to be EPIC. Yes, there are some glitches and flaws but again, which film doesn’t have those? If I minus that, Brahmastra will surely blow your mind. From the first word go, it establishes that it will teleport you into the fantasy world.”
