Golmaal 5: Rohit Shetty’s Comedy Goes On Floors In Mumbai; Ajay Devgn To Join Ensemble Cast Tomorrow

The fifth chapter of the much-loved Golmaal franchise has rolled cameras in Mumbai, bringing together its signature mix of slapstick comedy, ensemble madness and larger-than-life storytelling. With the team returning to set, excitement is already building among fans eager to see the next instalment of one of Hindi cinema’s most successful comedy series.

Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 5 Starts Shooting In Mumbai

According to Variety India reports, director Rohit Shetty has begun filming Golmaal 5 this week in Mumbai. The report notes that long-time franchise lead Ajay Devgn is set to join the shoot tomorrow, continuing his association with the series that began nearly two decades ago.

The film reunites several familiar faces from the franchise’s comic universe. Alongside Devgn, actors Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, and Kunal Kemmu are expected to return, while The Family Man fame, Priyamani, reportedly joins the ensemble, adding a fresh dynamic to the cast. Comedy veterans Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, and Mukesh Tiwari also remain part of the familiar lineup.

The franchise first kicked off with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006 and quickly evolved into a dependable box-office brand. Over the years, its sequels have delivered crowd-pleasing humour, chaotic misunderstandings and Shetty’s trademark commercial scale, collectively earning strong theatrical numbers.

While the makers have yet to announce plot details or a confirmed release date, the current schedule reportedly takes place across Mumbai’s Film City, where multiple sets have already been erected for the shoot. With production now underway, Golmaal 5 promises to continue the franchise’s legacy of family-friendly comedy and mass entertainment.
