Hema Malini is preparing to host a prayer meet in New Delhi to honour the memory of her late husband, Dharmendra. Before the Delhi event, she also organised a Gita Paath at her residence in remembrance of Dharmendra. It was attended by Sunita Ahuja, her son Harshvardhan and other celebs.
Hema Malini, Esha, Ahana Deol To Host Prayer Meet For Dharmendra
Sources from NDTV report that on December 11, 2025 (Thursday), from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Hema Malini, along with Esha Deol, Ahana Deol, Bharat Takhtani, and Vaibhav Vohra, will hold a prayer meeting for Dharmendra at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath, New Delhi.
Dharmendra’s Prayer Meet
The initial tribute took place on November 27 at Taj Lands End in Mumbai, organised by the Deol family, and saw a large turnout from the film fraternity. At the entrance, Dharmendra’s sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, along with other family members, stood with folded hands, expressing gratitude as friends and colleagues arrived to pay their respects.
The tribute concluded with a musical performance by Sonu Nigam, who rendered some of Dharmendra’s most beloved songs, including “Aa Ja Jaane Wale,” “Rahe Na Rahe Hum,” “Aaj Mausam Bada Beimaan Hai,” and “Apne Toh Apne Hote Hain.”
Notable attendees included Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff, Vidya Balan, Aryan Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Suresh Oberoi, and many others.
While some celebrities gathered at Taj Lands End, others visited Hema Malini at her Mumbai home to offer their condolences. Among those who met her privately were Mahima Chaudhry, Fardeen Khan, and Sunita Ahuja with her son, Yashvardhan.
In addition to the upcoming Delhi prayer meeting, Hema Malini also conducted a Gita Paath at her residence in Dharmendra’s memory. Meanwhile, Dharmendra’s sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol celebrated his 90th birthday today, December 8, with fans at home.
