Kangana working birthday

Kangana Ranaut’s last film, ‘Rangoon’, didn’t do that well at the box office. But, the actress has moved on, and is now all set to start with her next film. Kangana will be turning 31 on March 23, and it will be a working birthday for her.

The actress, who will be seen as Rani Lakshmibai in the warrior queen’s biopic, will be starting the work on the film, on her birthday. Reportedly, the actress will shoot for the first poster of the movie which is titled as ‘Manikarnika’. Earlier, Ketan Mehta was going to direct the film, but apparently Kangana decided to replace him. And now, ‘Gabbar Is Back’ director, Krish, will be helming the movie. The story of the film is being written by KV Vijayendra Prasad who has written films like ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.

A source close to the actress stated, “The new film will be helmed by a fresh team. A top studio, too, has agreed to back the venture, which is envisioned as an action-packed, feisty film. It is the biopic of an ordinary girl, who, when faced with tough times, discovered the warrior in her. The film will go on floors in mid-May.” (Also Read: Despite all the nepotism drama, Karan Johar says Kangana Ranaut nailed it on ‘Koffee With Karan 5’)
