Koffee With Karan 6: Shahid Kapoor has THIS to say on relationship with Ranveer and Deepika
Karan Johar’s show ‘Koffee With Karan’ is in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. In the 6th edition of the show, we saw cricketer KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya made some candid revelations about their personal life. However, the duo were sent back home from their tour to Australia for their irresponsible comments on the show.
On the other hand, Shahid Kapoor started the year 2018 with a bang as his first release was Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’. He played the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh and starred alongside Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. During the shooting of the film and post the release of the film, there were several reports making the rounds about Shahid not getting along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranveer during the shoot. None of them spoke about the issue until now.
Now, Shahid has opened up on the issue. Notably, in the latest episode on Sunday evening, siblings Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar made their presence felt on the show and revealed a thing or two about each other.
When aran Johar asked Shahid about not getting along with his co-stars of ‘Padmaavat’, the actor said, “It’s really a big film and the stakes were very high for everybody. So everybody wanted to have their A-game on. Everybody was doing everything it takes to kind of be in the centre of the limelight. I’m sure everybody felt a bit threatened by each other at some level, it’s natural.”
He further said, “I had a great time during the film, and of course, there are many small things which happen when it’s a multi star-cast film. And I wouldn’t say that it was a smooth ride and we were all throwing love at each other. But looking back, I feel it’s an amazing film in my filmography and I feel like it’s great that I did it, it’s all good.”
Responding to a question about his relationship status with Deepika, Ranveer and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shahid revealed that it doesn’t exist and it’s the same with the industry. The actor also said that he looks forward to spending time with his kids and has not been able to bond with the celebs.
In the end, Shahid said, “My relationship status with most of the industry is zilch. Honestly, Deepika, Ranveer and Sanjay sir never became a part of my friend circle as such. I think it was more a professional thing. And it’s not the status was different and it’s changed in any manner. We connected when we were working and now we don’t have any connection.”
