Lakshya, Rasha Thadani Team Up For Action Love Story; Filming To Begin Next Year? Here’s What We Know

Fresh off the success of Aryan Khan’s Netflix series, Ba***ds of Bollywood, Lakshya has signed a new film, where he will star alongside Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha Thadani, in an action-packed romantic story produced by Jay Shewakramani under Northern Lights Films.

Lakshya, Rasha Thadani Team Up For Action Love Story

As reported by PeepingMoon, Lakshya and Rasha Thadani are set to pair for the first time on screen, after their chemistry was initially showcased in an advertisement for Elevn Dating App earlier this year. The film will be helmed by director Anirudh Iyer, who made his debut with the 2022 action-comedy An Action Hero, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat. Fans can expect a blend of youthful romance and high-octane action, characteristic of Iyer’s directorial style. Shooting is scheduled to begin early next year.

Initially, Karan Johar planned to launch Lakshya with Dostana 2 and subsequently with Bedhadak. But both projects were shelved, delaying his debut. He eventually made his Bollywood debut with the action thriller Kill. He has since garnered praise for his performance in Ba***ds of Bollywood. This upcoming romantic-action film with Rasha will be his first outside of Dharma Productions.

This new film with Lakshya and Rasha adds to the impressive lineup of Jay Shewakramani’s production banner. He is known for delivering diverse and engaging films like Jawaani Jaaneman, Malang, Freddy, and Jaane Jaan. This year, the producer has released Maalik, a gangster action film starring Rajkummar Rao, and Inspector Zende, a cop drama featuring Manoj Bajpayee. Looking ahead, he has a horror-comedy and a courtroom drama in development, directed by Saket Chaudhary and Pulkit, respectively.

Lakshya’s Projects

Lakshya will focus on this project after completing three upcoming Dharma films. He will be seen in Chand Mera Dil with Ananya Panday, Dostana 2 with Vikrant Massey, and Raj Mehta’s Lag Jaa Gale with Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor.

Rasha’s Projects

Regarding Rasha Thadani, she is steadily establishing her presence in the industry. Although her debut film, Azaad, didn’t perform well commercially, her charisma and dance skills earned her widespread appreciation. The 20-year-old has already signed two more projects. These projects are Laikaa Laikey, opposite Abhay Verma of Munjya fame, and a Telugu film featuring Mahesh Babu’s nephew Jaya Krishna. The latter, directed by Ajay Bhupathi of RX 100 fame, is set to go on floors this month.
