Met Gala 2025 Natasha Poonawalla Mona Patel Isha Ambani

Met Gala 2025 took place earlier today at the  Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in Manhattan and the red carpet event was truly a fashionista’s dream come true. While some hit the mark by stunning in ensembles that matched this year’s theme – Tailored for You, a few did disappoint. However, they weren’t the Indians we normally see attend this major charitable dinner.

If you haven’t guessed yet, we are talking about Isha Ambani, Natasha Poonawalla and Mona Patel creating waves at Met Gala 2025 in amazing tailored couture. Scroll below for a glimpse of what they wore

Isha Ambani At Met Gala 2025

Isha Ambani walked the iconic red Met stairs looking dashing in a custom Anamika Khanna creation. The ensmble featured a white geometric corset, black tailored pants, and a flowing white cape, aligning perfectly with this year’s theme for the gala and the institution’s exhibition – Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. The designer also integrated semi-precious stones and traditional pearl work into the look, adding texture and character to Isha’s monochrome silhouette. While the geometric corset added sharp structure, the tailored black trousers and white cape offered a modern twist on classic tailoring.

Isha styled her refined, detail-heavy dandy outfit with dewy makeup and a sleek long braid. The business woman completed her look with diamond jewellery that is straight out of films. And her main necklace is. As per Diet Sabya, the intricate diamond necklack Isha’s wearing belonged to the Maharaja of Nawanagar and is currently owned by Cartier. The necklace may look familiar as it’s the same one stolen at the Met Gala in the 2018 action-comedy Ocean’s 8

Natasha Poonawalla Looks Ethereal

Natasha Poonawalla has always delivered at the Met, and the 2025 Gala was no different. The businesswoman reigned supreme at the fundraiser in an exquisite fusion of armor, artistry, and ancestry created by Indian designer Manish Malhotra. The ensemble clearly matched this year’s theme as if was the perfect blend of dandyism woven with the heritage and legacy of Indian Gara embroidery.

Natasha’s floor-sweeping gown – made in rich hues of indigo and black, featured a corseted and sculpted bodice layered with an ornate bustier. The ensemble also included exaggerated shoulders, a structured peplum and a dramatic, avant-garde white ruff collar that framed her face like a work of art. The cascading pearl strands attached to the ruff collar added a flair of celestial drama to the look. She styled he look with her hair pulled back into a tight bun and makeup including a porcelain complexion, flushed cheeks, and a bold eye that commands attention.

Mona Patel Goes Dandy

To the 2025 Met Gala event, Mona Patel wore a custom suit along with a cape and corseted bodice created by American designer Thom Browne. The majorly black ‘couture drag’ ensemble included ivory inner lining a black, beaded corset-style bodice laced over the a halter white shirt complete with a matching bow and high-waist, straight fit black bottom.

She added a sprinkle of femininity to the otherwise razor-sharp menswear a pair of black stiletto pumps from Rene Caovilla. These pumps – made with sparkling embellishments, matched the ornate corset piece perfectly. A key aspect of Patel’s look was her a robotic dog, Vector – named after Browne’s iconic dachshund, Hector. Inspired by Thom Browne’s designs developed at MIT, the fully robotic canine wore a tux to the gala and was kept nearby with 1000-carat emerald-cut diamond leash. Her tailored look also included a robotic detail along the back of the black ensemble.
