OH SAD! Mahira Khan won’t be promoting ‘Raees’ in India

We all know that after Uri attacks, Pakistani artistes are not allowed to work in India. However, they will be allowing the release of the films that are already made. The next movie starring a Pakistani actress is ‘Raees’. At the trailer launch of the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer , co-producer of the film, Ritesh Sidhwani had stated that if they require Mahira Khan for the promotions, they will get her. However, seems like this will not be happening.

Recently, Shah Rukh Khan and Ritesh met MNS Chief, Raj Thackeray to clear that Mahira won’t be promoting ‘Raees’ in India. Raj said, “Although it was clarified during the meeting with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis that no Pakistani artiste or technician will be taken in any of the upcoming Bollywood movies. He (Shah Rukh) had come to inform me that rumours about Mahira Khan promoting ‘Raees’ are false. He specifically came to clarify Mahira will not be a part of the promotions in India.”

Well, we were expecting the Pakistani beauty to come and interact with the Indian media, but this news has surely disappointed us.

‘Raees’, which is directed by Rahul Dholakia, is slated to release on January 25, 2017.
