Pakistani Celebs React To Operation Sindoor

Pakistani celebrities have strongly reacted to India’s recent strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under Operation Sindoor. They called the move “cowardly” and condemned it on social media.

Popular actress Mahira Khan shared writer Fatima Bhutto’s post criticising the strikes and added her own comment on Instagram, saying, “Seriously cowardly!!! May Allah protect our country, may better sense prevail. Ameen.” Mahira is one of Pakistan’s biggest film stars and has a large following both at home and abroad.

Actress Hania Aamir also expressed her feelings by posting a one-word message on Instagram: “Cowardly.” This comes at a time when many Pakistani celebrities’ Instagram accounts, including Hania’s, have been restricted in India. These restrictions happened after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in India, which killed 26 people. Now, accounts of stars like Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, and Ali Zafar show a message saying they are not available in India due to legal requests.

The Indian government confirmed the airstrikes, saying they were careful and focused only on terror sites. The Indian Army said on social media, “Justice is served. Jai Hind.” Many Indian politicians praised the military for their actions.

Reports say Operation Sindoor killed at least 17 terrorists and injured 60 others. The strikes targeted specific locations in Pakistan and PoK such as Kotli, Faisalabad, Muzaffarabad, and more. The Indian Army said they made sure not to hit any Pakistani military sites to prevent further escalation.

This event has created strong emotions on both sides. While India sees it as justice for the Pahalgam attack, Pakistani celebrities have voiced fear, anger, and called for peace and understanding.
