Ram Setu: Akshay Kumar reveals his first look as an archaeologist
Film Ram Setu’s brand new poster sees Akshay Kumar donning a pair of glasses as he sported long hair. Sporting a clean-shaven look, the actor wore a grey shirt and wrapped a dark blue scarf around his neck. Sporting a geeky look, the actor looked like an archaeologist. The PadMan actor took to his social media handle to share his first look in the film Ram Setu.
The actor has started shooting for Ram Setu on Tuesday. Defining it “one of the most special films”, Akshay revealed he is playing an archaeologist in the film. The actor sports a long hairdo and glasses. He has also asked his fans for their opinion on his look. The picture sees the Kesari actor donning a pair of glasses as he sported neck-length hair. “The journey of making one of the most special films for me begins today. #RamSetu shooting begins! Playing an archaeologist in the film. Would love to hear your thoughts on the look? It always matters to me,” he wrote.

The film co-stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrrat Bharucha. The mahurat of the film was shot at Ayodhya a few days back. The cast went to the Ram Janmabhoomi temple where they performed a puja before officially starting the shoot. Akshay, along with Jacqueline and Nushrratt had visited Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, for the muhurat of the Abhishek Sharma directorial earlier this month.
Abhishek has previously helmed films like Tere Bin Laden, The Zoya Factor and the recent Manoj Bajpayee-Diljit Dosanjh starrer Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari. On the work front, Akshay has wrapped up Bachchan Pandey and Atrangi Re. Apart from Ram Setu, the National Award-winning actor is awaiting the release of Rohit Shetty’s directorial cop thriller — Sooryavanshi, and spy thriller — Bell Bottom.
