Ranveer Singh To Star In Jai Mehta’s Post-Apocalyptic Drama Titled Pralay; Shoot Begins 2026- Report 

Actor Ranveer Singh is all set to explore a new genre with his upcoming film, which promises to be unlike anything he has done before. After action, comedy, and drama, the actor is now stepping into the world of zombies with director Jai Mehta’s next project. Produced by Applause Entertainment, the film is currently in pre-production and is expected to begin shooting in 2026.

Ranveer Singh’s Zombie Film Titled Pralay

The makers have reportedly finalised a tentative title for the film — Pralay. The word means “cataclysm” or “apocalypse,” perfectly reflecting the story’s setting. The plot is said to unfold in a world destroyed by a mix of natural and man-made disasters. At its core, however, the story will be about survival, family, and sacrifice.

A source told Pinkvilla, “Ranveer Singh’s next venture, tentatively titled Pralay, is an intense emotional journey set against chaos and destruction. The world is fresh and immersive, but the story remains personal—it’s about survival, love, and sacrifice.”

Ranveer To Begin Shoot After Don 3

Ranveer is reportedly very excited about this film. He has been holding regular meetings with Jai Mehta and the writing team to shape the characters and storyline. The film is expected to go on floors in the second half of 2026, once he wraps up Don 3. Since the scale is massive, pre-production is taking extra time, with the makers working on building a whole new cinematic universe. The tone is said to be inspired by Hollywood blockbusters like World War Z and I Am Legend.

Alongside Ranveer, the team is also looking for a top actress to play the female lead. Meanwhile, Ranveer is preparing for the release of Dhurandhar and gearing up for Don 3.
