No Fallout Between Love And War Co-Stars Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal; Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Directorial To Release In August- Report

One of the most highly anticipated films of this year is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Previously, there were rumors of a fallout between the lead actors over delays in the film’s release, with reports suggesting that Bhansali had been holding back the film’s debut. It was also mentioned that the remaining shoot would mainly involve patchwork, VFX work, some select scenes, and musical portions, given that it is a period film.

However, according to Mid-Day, citing a source from the production team, the film is moving forward as scheduled. “The unit is currently on a planned year-end break. This was decided months ago. Bhansali’s films are made on a grand scale, so any pause is immediately perceived as a delay,” the source explained. An insider added that the remaining filming will focus on “patchwork and VFX because it is a period film, involving only select scenes and musical portions.”

Addressing the rumors of a rift among the leads, the source clarified, “There has been no fallout. These shoots are long and demanding, but Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky are fully committed and on board. They plan to resume filming by mid-January, continuing until March, with post-production happening simultaneously,” the source stated. The source confirmed that Love And War will be released as planned in August this year.

Initially scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release, reports last year indicated that the film’s release had been pushed to March 20, 2026. However, the film’s team has not officially announced a new release date or confirmed any delays. Bollywood Hungama had previously reported, citing a source, that “Love & War is significantly behind schedule, and will now release in the second half of 2026. Around 75 days of shooting remain, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali has asked Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal to reserve extended dates through summer 2026 to complete the film.”

Apart from Love And War, the leading actors have other projects lined up. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in Ramayana: Part One, where he will portray Lord Rama. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and also starring Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Ravie Dubey. It is set to release during Diwali 2026.

Alia Bhatt is also busy with Alpha, part of the YRF Spy Universe. The film features Sharvari and Bobby Deol. It is scheduled for release in 2026 and will showcase Alia and Sharvari in action-packed roles.
