Ace filmmaker is currently in the news thanks to reports with regards to his much-awaited next, Love And War. On the occasion of his birthday (February 24), the filmmaker shared an interesting update about the Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer. However, the very next day, reports of the filmmaker being hospitalised following a heart attack made the headlines.

Now, SLB’s team has released an official statement with regards to these claims. Read on to know all they said.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali Hospitalised?

Earlier today, reports surfaced about Sanjay Leela Bhansali being hospitalised. Soon after the news made the headlines, the filmmaker’s team released a statement dismissing the reports. Their statement read, “Reports about SLB being hospitalised are completely false and baseless. There is no truth to them. We request you to kindly refrain from carrying any such stories, as they have no verified source.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Family Releases A Statement Following Repots Of Filmmaker’s Hospitalisation

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s family also shared a note on social media. Their note read, “Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali is doing absolutely fine. He has gone in for a routine medical check-up, and there is no cause for concern. We sincerely appreciate the love, care, and concern shown by everyone. Thank you for your continued support and warm wishes.”

SLB Unwell Reports

For the unversed, earlier today Mamaraazzi reproted that Bhansali suffered a heart attack on his birthday and was allegedly rushed to a hospital in Mumbai. The report suggested that the celebration soon turned worrisome, with doctors admitting him for urgent medical care and closely monitoring his condition.

Variety India also noted an insider saying, “He was feeling uneasy and had chest pains and was rushed to the emergency room on Tuesday evening. He is currently under observation.” Revealing that cardiologist Sunil Wani attended to him, the source further told the publication, “SLB is still at the hospital but he is feeling fine. He has been advised angioplasty, which is considered a normal procedure these days.”

On the work front, Bhansali is currently busy working on his upcoming project Love & War. The highly anticipated romantic drama – starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in the leads, is scheduled to release in cinemas on August 14, 2026.
