Sonakshi Sinha Shuts Down Trolls Criticising Zaheer Iqbal For Not Celebrating Holi With Her, Says, “Thanda Paani Dalo Sar Pe”

Sonakshi Sinha recently shared vibrant pictures of herself celebrating Holi on the sets of Jatadhara on Instagram. However, her post sparked reactions from fans, with some questioning the absence of her husband Zaheer Iqbal from the celebrations. Irked by the nasty reaction, Sonakshi responded trolls questioning Zaheer Iqbal’s presence.

On Friday, Sonakshi took to Instagram to share pictures of herself covered in vibrant Holi colours. Alongside the pictures, she wrote, “Holi haiiiiiiii!!! Rang barsao, khushiyaan manao!! Happy Holi mere doston, from the shoot of Jatadhara.” Reacting to her pictures, Zaheer wrote, “Missing youuuuu baby“, and added a kissing emoji.

But, trolls attacked the couple again for Zaheer’s absence in Sonakshi’s Holi photos. One netizen wrote, “I can say with confidence that Zaheer cannot play Holi with this lady”, while another added, “Did Zaheer refuse to play Holi with you? So sad.” After receiving comments about Zaheer’s absence Sonakshi responded, “Comments mein thoda relax karo. @iamzahero Mumbai mein hai, aur main shoot pe hoon isiliye saath mein nahi hai… thanda paani dalo sar pe.“

For those unversed, the couple tied the knot last year in an intimate ceremony. Their wedding became talk of the town as they faced backlash inter-faith marriage. Sonakshi recently talked about it and revealed how it never became an obstacle in the relationship. Speaking to Hauterrfly, she said, “Zaheer aur main religion ko dekh hi nahi rahe the. Here are two people in love with each other and want to get married. He’s not enforcing his religion on me, I am not enforcing my religion on him. We never sit and talk (about religion).”

On the work front, Sonakshi will soon debut in Telugu cinema with Sudheer Babu’s Jatadhara. The film also marks Shilpa Shirodkar’s comeback. Sonakshi and Zaheer will be seen together in their film Tu Hai Meri Kiran. The upcoming romantic thriller release has been delayed as it has landed itself into legal trouble due to copyright issues.
