Vivek Sinha Reacts To Rumours Of Being Paid 1 Cr In Dhurandhar 2
Vivek Sinha delivered a striking performance in Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2, where he portrayed hijacker Zahoor Mistry. While Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s film reportedly crossed Rs 1000 crore at the box office, conversations around the cast’s earnings have been circulating widely. Amid claims suggesting he was paid up to Rs 1 crore, Vivek took to Instagram to address the rumours, stating that although he was compensated fairly, the figures being reported are exaggerated.
In the video, the actor began by expressing gratitude for the appreciation coming his way. He then mentioned that several Instagram pages had been sharing different numbers regarding his remuneration. Some claimed Rs 60 lakh, others Rs 80 lakh, and a few even suggested Rs 1 crore. However, he dismissed these reports, saying, “Bhai, itna paisa nahi mila hai kasam se. Yeh sab mat dalo.”
He further added, “Mujhe Dhurandhar se paisa mila hai, achcha paisa mila. Jo expected amount tha woh mila. Lekin utna paisa nahi mila, aur jo paisa mila tha, woh khatam ho chuka hai. Mumbai mein rehta hoon bhai, aur bahut kharche hain yahan. Toh Dhurandhar wala saara paisa khatam ho chuka hai .” Vivek shared that these inaccurate reports have prompted people to message him on DMs, seeking financial help for medical needs and other future expenses.
Addressing it humorously, the actor remarked, “Bhai main de toh du par mere paas khud paise nahi hai(laughs).” He also added, “Jab agli picture aayegi aur accha paisa aaya toh main zaroor help karunga.” Vivek wrapped up by expressing gratitude to fans for the appreciation and love he has received for his performance in Dhurandhar.
Vivek Sinha On Receiving Backlash For His Role
In Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, Vivek portrayed terrorist Zahoor Mistry, one of the hijackers involved in the 1999 Indian Airlines flight IC-814 hijacking. A particular dialogue from the film, “Hindu waqai darpok qaum hai,” triggered backlash from a section of the audience, with some struggling to separate the actor from his on-screen character. Addressing the criticism, Vivek took to Instagram to clarify his stance. In one of his posts, he wrote, “Mera naam Vivek Sinha hai aur main aatankwadi nahi hoon.“
