Gangubai Kathiawadi had a fantastic Monday at the box office. The Alia Bhatt starrer has recorded a generous collection on the fourth day of its release. Gangubai Kathiawadi got a superb opening at the box office on day 1 of its release. The movie went on and made a total of Rs 10.5 crore at the box office, on day one. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed movie continues to make good numbers. Gangubai Kathiawadi is inching closer to the 50 crore mark after its day 4 collection.

A Box Office India report said that Gangubai Kathiawadi has collected Rs 8 to 8.25 crore on the first Monday. As per the report, the Alia led movie saw a boost in the collections due to the holiday on Tuesday. In total, the recently released movie has collected Rs 45.50 crore in total, in four days of its release.

The report said, “Gangubai Kathiawadi was superb on Monday as it collected 8-8.25 crore nett on Monday giving it a four day total of 45.50 crore nett and there is a holiday on Tuesday to come. The collections got a boost on Monday evening due to this holiday but even allowing for that it is a great hold for the film and it will sustain well at the box office.”

As per the report, “The Monday figures of the film are only second to Sooryavanshi post the pandemic but it has to be said there has not been many releases also post the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the movie features Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, Shantanu Maheshwari and stars Ajay Devgn in a cameo appearance. It was released in theatres on February 25. As per reports, Alia Bhatt got paid a whopping amount of Rs 20 crore for the film.
