EXCLUSIVE: Aditi Govitrikar Says She Has NOT Met Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra For Years; Recalls ‘Nostalgic Memories’ With Lara Dutta, Dia Mirza

Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, and Dia Mirza won major international beauty titles, Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Asia Pacific, respectively, while Aditi Govitrikar won the prestigious Mrs. India pageant. They all began their careers in the modelling industry at the same time and would participate in shows together.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Aditi Govitrikar opened up on her bond with Lara Dutta, Dia Mirza and Priyanka Chopra. The former Mrs India revealed not meeting PC in years now. Scroll down to read more.

When asked about her winning Mrs World, the changes in the modelling industry, and Priyanka, Dia, and Lara winning different pageants, Aditi said, “In fact, they were my contemporaries. Lara, Dia, and Priyanka, we won our respective titles in the same year. So that was a year when all four titles had come to India, so it was amazing. Meri journey thodi alag thi kyunki, of course, I did not belong to the same media house jahan se woh aayi thi, toh meri journey bahut alag rahi. Aur ek alag cheez yeh thi ki this was the first time an Indian participated in Mrs. World. Haalaanki Mrs. World 1984 se chal aa raha hai.”

She continued, “Lekin India mein kisi ko pata hi nahi tha ki aisa koi pageant exist karta hai. Miss India, Miss Universe, Miss World wagairah kaafi time se ho rahe hain. Toh that was a novel thing ki India se ek married woman ja rahi hai, jo ek big thing thi, bahut badi baat hoti. Kyunki tab itna yeh nahi tha ki ek shaadishuda mahila glamour field mein ho sakti hai. Jab hota tha toh it used to be over, her profession aur her career used to be over.”

Aditi On Her Reunions With Lara, Dia And Priyanka

Speaking about her reunions with Lara, Dia, and Priyanka, Aditi said, “See, I have not met Priyanka in years. But whether I meet Lara or Dia or, you know, any of those people, then of course hum nostalgic moments ko bahut yaad karte hain, kyunki kaafi saare shows humne saath kiye the. Fashion shows kaafi saare kiye hain, toh uski wajah se kaafi memories hain. So it’s always like we go back to those days, how it used to be.”
